Therapeutic exercise
Therapeutic exercise is a form of movement therapy aimed at actively involving the patient in their own rehabilitation process.
Through therapeutic exercise, it is possible to improve cardiovascular and respiratory performance, muscle strength and endurance, joint mobility, and motor skills such as walking or balance control.
The physiotherapist supervises and guides the exercise program, which may be carried out individually or in a group setting. Various equipment, devices, or functional exercises may be used as part of the training. To achieve lasting results, exercise should be continued for at least 3–6 months after the therapy period.
