Faskiamanipulaatio® (Stecco) / faskiakäsittely
Fascia, or connective tissue, is a significant structure for function and movement, as it is always involved in movement control and execution. The goal of Fascia Manipulation treatment is to normalize the function of the fascia (connective tissue), allowing movement to return to normal and enabling overloaded or painful structures to recover.
Fascia is a functional system, and symptoms requiring fascial treatment can present in many different ways.
What does fascia manipulation help with?
- Musculoskeletal disorders
- Long-standing or persistent symptoms
- Post-injury and post-surgical rehabilitation
- Complex or multifactorial complaints
- Overuse injuries in physically active individuals and improvement of performance

Fascia Manipulation© is a treatment method developed for musculoskeletal disorders, focusing on the fascia—the body’s connective tissue network.
Fascia Manipulation® Stecco is a method developed by Italian physiotherapist Luigi Stecco. It is the result of over 40 years of research and clinical work and is based on the functional relationship between muscles, deep connective tissue, and their components.
The core principle is to identify a precise local area of connective tissue that is associated with a specific movement restriction. By manipulating this tightened area, normal, pain-free range of motion can be restored.
