Pre- and post-surgery physiotherapy

Pre-Surgery Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is an important part of the care process before and after surgery.

The goal of pre-surgery physiotherapy is to improve metabolism in the area to be operated on, which supports recovery after the operation. This helps create optimal conditions for post-surgery rehabilitation and healing. Physiotherapy aims to reduce swelling, improve tissue metabolism and elasticity, activate the muscles in the operated area, enhance strength, and restore joint mobility as much as possible.

Post-Surgery Physiotherapy

Post-surgery rehabilitation is individually planned with the client, taking into account the surgeon’s follow-up instructions. The aim of physiotherapy is to restore mobility and functional ability.

After surgery, physiotherapy may include joint and soft tissue treatments, taping, heat or cold therapy, and therapeutic exercises. Individually tailored exercises play a key role in rehabilitation, aiming to restore joint mobility, improve muscle strength and endurance, and enhance coordination and movement control. Post-surgery physiotherapy progresses gradually, respecting the normal healing time of the tissues.
